Wth is wrong with the Planar Prison?

i killed the Warden before killing the Master of Thralls, but then i checked the location where the actors gang should have been and its only Haer Dalis there, so also no way to escape. what gives? is this intentional, to make you kill the Master first? i also abused the flesh portals on the ground to manage clearing the way as a solo assassin, maybe that bugged the game?

There are two cells behind the Warden. One holds Haer'Dalis, and the other holds the rest of the troupe. Maybe you were looking in the wrong place?

Exploiting those portals doesn't break anything.

i checked both places, no one there. Haer Dalis is the only one present, but at some point he left his cell and came near the flesh portal just south of the Wardens place - this happened while i was abusing that exact portal.

got home and checked the older saves.. i have a save just before entering the portal to the planar prison, and then one right after defeating the welcome party. i loaded the one before entering and went to check the cell, and they are all there. did the same for the save after defeating the party and now they are gone. theres only one unorthodox thing i did in between, which is i attacked the yuan ti mage before they got the chance to start their dialogue - possible cause? you tell me..

well.. i restarted the whole thing (omg my brain) and now they are in their cell, except Luciana is missing, but i guess she isnt relevant at all. ill have to go check them after each batch of enemies i clear..

heres another question: while fighting the efreeti in the planar prison, i noticed they would start fighting themselves for a short time, i think its because one of them would cast that fireball spell and damage the others - is this, well, normal? i mean i hope its not a bug.
