two quests: advice welcome

I have 2 major quests left in chapter 3, which I would like to get done prior to wandering off to Spellhold. Now, I have in fact done both of these before, but that was 7 years ago, so my memory is a bit hazy. Also, I was using v 1.3 at the time, and the current version now. There are significant differences between the two. One is Jaheira's Harper quest, which results in us fighting scads of Harpers anytime we go somewhere. The other is the Cult of the Eyeless, which is even more massive, and absurdly convoluted. (Note: I purchased the Shield of Balduran a while ago in preparation for this very quest.) So, my question is, which one would you folks recommend that I do first?

Jaheira's quest have many timed encounters, so I would advance this one first.

Upon consideration, I am tending to favor doing the Harper's first. More straightforward, and we may score some better gear. Also getting more experience before heading underground can't hurt.

OMG! Talk about serendipity! I was going to head off on Jaheira's quest, when I got distracted and wandered off to the WIndspear Hills. As I mentioned, I had bought the Shield of Balduran in anticipation of eventually using it in the Cult of the Eyeless quest. I had NO idea that it would also come in rather useful in Firkraag's Dungeon as well. I was truly astounded by the sheer luck of it all. :D

Actually, no, it didn't. The "Director" does not use normal beholder rays; it casts assorted low-level arcane spells (that deal damage) instead. Absolutely none of what it does is reflected by the Shield of Balduran.

Bah, so much for serendipity. Well, it was an amusing concept while it lasted.
