HLA in SOD?

So I am running a solo character through SOD in LOB difficulty. Finished BG:EE with him on this difficulty, and I'm on pace to possibly hit 3M XP(I'm using a significantly cheesy exploit in the game to power level) before completing it. I was curious and used a test character and some editing in EEKeeper to see if HLAs would be selectable when leveling up past 3M and no UI element occurred to allow me to choose an HLA.

My question is this: is there a way to have SOD allow me to select an HLA when I reach the appropriate level? If it can't be done organically is there a mod that I can install that would add this feature?
