.....Having freed Nalia's home from the trolls, we decided to head to the Umar Hlls, just to shut up Minsc's yapping about it. We did the various rhings in the town itself, then headed off to the Shade Lord's Temple. thing went OK until we reached the entrance. There the dying wolf told us to focus this crystal to deter the various shade thingies from attacking. Unfortunately, there seems to be no way to interact with it.
..... We tried to turn it pysically, tried to attack in in various ways ... missile weapons, melee weapons, even had Nalia try to cast Magic Missile at it. Nothing worked; we seemed to be unable to target it at all. All the while fending off attacks by ever increasing numbers of shadow foes. What is the problem here?
Addendum: Never mind, I found the trigger spot. The dying wolf's directions are pretty vague. I had to actually go past the crystal, maybe 100 feet or so, heading west; the spot isn't even visible until you get really close to it. Not well designed placement, IMO.
