Spell Changes to: Shocking Grasp, Aganazzar's Scorcher, Cone of Cold - because I could

Hello community,

I love these spells in PnP Dungeons and Dragons, but I've found their implementation into the IE to be lacking for a number of reasons. Mainly they are too unwieldy for the RTP and you end up hitting your own people half the time - and shocking grasp is just weak and pointless.

So I made my own spells! With blackjack! And hookers!

Shocking Grasp
No longer requires an attack roll, but has a save for half damage. Deals 1d6 per level up to 5d6 per 3rd edition rules.

Aganazzar's Scorcher
No longer hits creatures in between you and enemy. Damage is instant instead of over 2 rounds. Damage is 1d8 per level up to 5d8 in line with 3rd edition.

Cone of Cold
No longer a cone, but a single target ray of cold (like the old wand) for 8d8 cold damage. Save half. This is the one with the biggest change and is no longer a cone but still quite cold. I did this mainly because I wanted a direct damage invocation spell for 5th level I could actually use.

These are not fixes. They are modifications done purely because I felt like it. I shared them here because I want to be a river to the people. ;)

PS: I have tested these on both IWD and BG1 and they work fine there as well. I was surprised they required no adjustments to work in IWD, but nope!
