Game corrupted?

Game was working fine originally but suddenly it will no longer start. I tried opening it from Program Files > beamdog > games but that doesnt work either. When I moved the launcher to the desktop and tried from there, it says "application corrupt." What's causing this?

    Try downloading the Microsft Visual Studio 2008 package mentioned in the "priority bug crash" thread, it fixed the "application corrupt" message on my win7 64bit net book.
