in Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition
Hi, I'm trying to find the artist for this wallpaper - would anyone happen to remember who this was? The image is from 2000, but I'm not familiar with the credits for the game.

    If i read the stamp correctly, it is copyrighted by gog.com so maybe asking there can lead you somewhere.

    I saw that, indeed. I've already asked there. The insightful people at GOG made the same observation you did, they pointed out this probably predates the EE, so I might have no luck asking here - but you know what, hope springs eternal.

    This is probably a peculiar variant of the Slayer Form (of Bhaal). It has features of a Baatezu Demonlord. 😎

    N.B. Bhaal has LE alignment and his demonic form is naturally Baatezu-type (the names "Bhaal" and 'Baatezu" are also related). 😉

    It was probably concept art made by Bioware to promote BG2-SoA. I could track that image back to the "Computer Gaming World" magazine (issue 186, from January 2000), on page 51. An archived copy can be downloaded here: https://www.cgwmuseum.org/galleries/index.php?year=2000&pub=2&id=186
