How do I get more character Portraits?

As the title said, how do I do it? The current ones just aren't my style. I need more. Please help.
Also, how do I get to the new character portraits that are in the store? Are those not unlocked yet?

Well you could either download pictures others have made and there's plenty of those around if you just search for them... or you could make your own. Details on how to do that can be found here:

In addition there are a number of Baldur's Gate fan sites out there with lots of custom portraits. You will need to adjust them to the new dimensions as shown in the thread Silverstar linked above. Two sites with decent collections of portraits are Sorcerer's Place (www.sorcerers.net) and Chosen of Mystra's Custom Portraits (http://portraits.chosenofmystra.net/index2.html). Sorcerer's Place has portrait sets in their download section while Chosen of Mystra let's you pick individually.

Just remember that if you find portraits intended for use in the original BG you will have to resize them in order to make the image look correct since the sizes have changed. Specific instructions are in the thread that was linked.

hey thanks for this i can now use portraits that look right for some reason i had black borders around some of the portraits that i used elsewhere
