Music stops

I have no idea how this happens, but after going through quiet areas with default no music (i.e. right outside Friendly Arms), there will be no music even for combat until I restart the game and reload.

Any idea how to fix this? I really enjoy the music in BG: EE, esp. the combat music, so any solution would be appreciated.
