Ankheg Armor now stacks with other magic items?

Why is Ankheg armor stacking with protection items now? .. Not a huge deal I guess, but I'm way less excited to find full plate now....

    I think Trent mentioned this on twitter. The reason is that the ankheg plate gets it's strength from the material, not from magic, so it doesn't make sense to count it as magic

    Well, full plate is not puke green. So it's still better :P

    As was said above, the strength/weight come from the material, not from magic. They changed it to be in line with AD&D manuals on the issue. That said, Viconia or other low strength npcs can equip ankegs and they can't equip full plate.
