XP for Trap Disarming

Hello,

I found these two pages online and wanted to ask if anyone knows where to insert the described scripts, in which file?

https://nwn.fandom.com/wiki/Traps_and_xp

https://nwn.fandom.com/wiki/Simple_XP_reward_for_disarming_trap

My goal is to play a rogue who detects and disarms traps, and I only want to insert these so that I receive at least one experience point for each disarmed trap. I'm not interested in leveling up faster by investing a lot of experience!

Thanks for Help :)

by the looks of it, you have to place it on the "disarm" section in the scripts tab for every trap that is in the game, which would be a huge undertaking since you would have to do it manually for each one

you have to open the modules in the toolset and find the specific trap in game that you want to edit, when you have the certain trap open one of the tabs should be called "scripts" and then you would have to make a script for the "OnUserDefined" option

so in the screenshot below this is right hand clicking on the desired trap and going to "properties" then it will give you a box with options

go to the "scripts" tab and by the looks of it you would put the script in the "OnUserDefined" option ( by making the appropriate script/ or copy pasting the appropriate script ) and then saving said script

yes, but you first need to open the main game module in the toolset ( the main game is just a pack of modules in one ) after you make the edits you save the module and then overwrite the game module with your saved one

its a bit of a pain, because of the few extra steps that need to be done to edit the main game module, but unfortunately that is just the way she goes

Hello, thank you for the clear information...but now I see that it's quite difficult, especially for a novice, to implement this in the game...the idea of making an entry in a game file is therefore a distant prospect for me...thank you very much for your answers anyway, best regards :)
