Strength doesn't seem to count towards THACO.

I made a Berserker with exceptional strength, but it doesn't seem to count towards his to-hit. His Thaco score is only affected by his proficiency level. And when I picked up Imoen her Dexterity didn't seem to affect her to-hit with the shortbow.
Is this just a display problem or does this genuinely not affect my chances to hit? If it's the latter I really need to fix this somehow before continuing.

equals +1 to THAC0 and +3 damage
the bonus to damage works well, but it seem like THAC0 bonus does not
i only have +2 from weapon specialization, so common THAC0 foots up to 18 at level 1
while it must be 17 due to +1 bonus from strenght

i gained level 3 and it seems bonus is working now

Hey there gents ( and ladys, if there are any of those mythical interwebz beasties here ).

I also started a thread on a similar issue - and was also informed that some others were suffering too ( check out Junk11's post towards the bottom of the first page ).

Its well worth taking the time to check your actual combat "dice" rolls - after checking mine, I realised that the Records page was mistakenly calculating my ability to hit modifiers, but the actual rolls and thac0's were correct.

My tuppence anyhoo.

The character info says I should have +10 to hit but the dice rolls show +8. IDK what to think.

Add up all bonuses/penalties from your weapon, proficiencies, strength, magic items and (de)buffs and compare it the 10 / 8 values

I am sort of confused, can you help me add it up?

Here is what I have:

The Worlds Edge 2-handed sword +3 hit
Helm of Balduran +1 hit
Gloves of Weapon Expertise +1 hit
18/96 strength +2 hit
Two Handed Sword Proficiency++++ (Confused as to how to add up here)
Two Handed Style++

I did get the Helm of Balduran after I posted above so exclude that I guess. When I equip The World's Edge, the character info goes from +2 to +10. It gives -8 to THACO for equiping the sword.

From what I've read, @DecrepitDragon is correct in that while there is a bug with the THAC0 displayed on the records screen, you are getting the proper values when in combat. And the bug in the displayed THAC0 has been reported already.

Still not fixed with the newest patch. Would really like to get it displayed correctly. Of course I understand that it is considered as a minor issue for now. Nevertheless it's great that they keep the patches coming.
