....I wish I could retain my pre-Slayer skills, especially since I am doing an all good/neutral run. DUHM, Horror, Vampiric Touch, Slow Poson, Laerloch's Drain ... what's not to like? I am putting off going to Brynlaw as long as possible. 
....I recruited Keldorn in the sewers. You just need to get the anti-eyeless cult quest, and he joins you. But he doesn't get all whiny if you put off doing the quest, and he's rather useful against the red wizard enclave. I gave him 2 pips in bastard sword, so now he is wielding Foebane and has a very nice magic shield.
....Neera has a very crappy quarterstaff and not much protection, so I gave her a +3 staff and the robes of the neutral archmage. Still not great but better than nothing.
