Planar prison

....This seriously sucks. I did the Planar Prison quest for the second time, with a different crew, hoping for a different result. Nope. Haer D'Aelis still just stands there doing nothing. And this is the only way to get Kundane. Bah! OK, fine; one weapon more or less won't break me, but still ... most irritating.
....And before anyone asks, yes I know the definition of insanity. I was hoping going with a totaly different crew would jog something in that Bard's feeble brain, but no such luck. :(

"Haer'Dalis just stands there doing nothing" is a valid situation. It may even be the right situation for what you've done. Let's see, how does that whole thing work ...

    - When the bounty hunters show up, Haer'Dalis and the actors are whisked away to the planar prison. Haer'Dalis is also removed from the party, and his dialogue is reset to the "never been in the party" version.
    - There's a variable "PlanarPrison" that tracks the state of the prison quest. While it's 1 (you've entered the prison, but not yet finished), Haer'Dalis can't rejoin you; if you talk to him in this state, he just says "My dear raven, valiant as always! You are poetry—you are song!"
    - What sets that variable to 2? Talking to Raelis.

And here, I suspect, is your problem. You went north from the final "room" after defeating the Warden and found Haer'Dalis. Nope, not helpful. He's there, but you can't do anything with him. You have to go west and talk to Raelis. Then everyone gets to leave, and Haer'Dalis can rejoin once you're back in the theater.

As I thought. Raelis does not exist there. Some other gal named Lumisia is there instead, and she is of no help whatsoever. She says "We can't thank you enough for what you have done" and apparently she means that in the most literal way.

OK, my game has some weird bugs. I actually found Raelis, totally by accident. She was standing outside the Temple of Helm in the Temple district. How the Hell she got there from the Playhouse is anyone's guess. Nor would she say anything to me when I tried to talk to her. Most peculiar. :o
