I've spent so many bloody hours on the game in the last 10 years that I'm not sure that I've felt the magic again, I'm just happy how excellent the title turned out and how much fun I'm having with it. The idea of new content and having a BG2:EE in the not too distant future makes it all the better!

    I do.

I never finished this game, but i absolutely loved BG2 so playing BG:EE brings back memories...
So far i'm loving the game and even thou i already spent alot of hours playing, it still feels i'm far from the end.

But then i spend alot of time hunting black pixels around the map and managing inventory :P

BG : EE has definitely returned the magic. I can't stop playing the damn thing! (and that makes me very happy)

I thoroughly enjoyed it. There were some crashes that bothered me significantly, but overall they were minor (thanks to quicksave!) and didn't really detract from the overall experience. I'm frustrated with some of the quests, but in all honesty I've never played Baldur's Gate I before this point, so I'm not entirely sure if I just screwed up somewhere.

I'm having a lot of fun with this game. Can't stop playing it. Off to do Dorn's sidequest now.

    Two stories:

1: I decided to start with a Fighter/Mage (first time for this class) and chose spear as my main weapon. I eventually picked up a magical halberd to replace my spear, but up to that point I used my mundane spear twice. It broke on both occasions. The first time was in Candlekeep, fighting those gosh darned rats. I ended up having to knock them unconscious with my fists and then use my longbow at a distance. Luckily I had a spare (spare spear?) on the second occasion.

2: While fighting the Spider Queen (or whatever she's called) in the Cloakwood, I had Neera cast Agnazar's (sp?) flaming scorcher on a spider. No wild surge. My main character almost simultaneously cast horror. The spider was on the right flank of my formation, and it decided to retreat backward from the fight, and then run across the front of the formation, toasting almost my entire party. It then retreated back the way it had come, killing most of my front line. *sigh*

No sarcasm; I'm loving this game. They've definitely rekindled the magic!
