Jaheira romance stuck at lovetalk 40

Romancing the best fighter/druid in the game as my halfling swashbuckler.
Everything has been running smoothly up until after Reviane appears, that part went fine. Now my LOVETALK variable is at 40 and I don't seem to be able to trigger Dermin's first appearance now matter how much I skip around in the forrests of Amn. It's been more than two weeks since Reviane.
I have been doing both Neera's and Rasaad's sidequests so I haven't been on "real" areas for quite some time. Could that be it?
My DerminAppear variable is over 4 million, DerminSpawn is at 2 (but Jaheira hasn't renounced being a harper, it's not in my journal), my romance is active.
Any advice on what to do? Should I just reset LOVATALK to a lower number or should I walk around and wait in the outdoors for a bit more?

Have you tried to summon Dermin by console(CC).?
No worries. I can summon him but wanted to make sure that won't mess things up.
