Cleric HLA Bug

Or more aptly, cleric dualed to thief bug.

Okay, for a bit now I’ve noticed that clerics will not get an HLA option at leveling up when they also get a weapons pip that they can’t use because their weapon slots are all full. This causes them to miss a HLA at that lvl up. Not a problem for me, usually, because I solo and a straight cleric will end with no HLAs left to pick a good deal before max lvl. Dualed to, or from, Fighter or Ranger it is not a problem as they have more pip slots and HLAs available to them. Mage is no worries, so far for me anyway though I haven’t done the maths on all lvl with dual possibilities, as the mage gets so few pips to use also because they have more HLAs. The the dual to a thief now, not the other way around ( see aforementioned straight cleric ), they have much many HLAs and weapon pips available so every lvl up I get a weapon pip to use I don’t get the option to choose a HLA. This is something newer, or I have never noticed clerics getting a good HLA screwing in maybe 30 or more straight solo cleric runs I have done over the past decades.

I can’t imagine I will ever run a cleric to thief solo dual again, pretty sure I prefer the other way around and I am almost maxed out so not gonna effect me again, probably. Just maybe check it out for others.

I play on an android btw.

Just an fyi for anyone who might want to try it, the priestess of Helm’s Seeking Sword works for backstabbing. I mean, terrible damage output but it does work.
To compare with max buffed cleric spells:
    Staff of Striking-94
    Staff of Rhynn-69
    Elemental Staves-59
    Staff Mace-64
    Gnasher-54
Cloak of the Sewers Shape change
    Rat-10
    Troll-64
    Polymorph Self from scroll
    Flind-74
    Ogre-139
    Spider-39
    Bears-39
    Wolf-59
    Shillelagh-54
    Flaming Sword(spell)-34
    Spiritual Hammer-54
    Seeking Sword-54
I Don’t have anything but SoA weapons and for some reason I can’t find the Bone Club, must have sold it. No BBoD or Shapechange scrolls, and no ToB stuffs.

So yeah, Seeking Sword does work but it’s middle of the pack-ish for single strike assassinations. Where it does shine is apr, at three it will help deal with the other guys, which I like to call Mage pals. Though looking at the Ogre damage it would do quite well on the pals. Not worth the effort though tbh and not great after the one shot.

Just a psa for anyone who would like to try such a thing.

    Merry slaying y’all!
