Axis&Allies iPhone can't complete sign-in

I have an iPhone 14 Pro and I recently purchased the Axis and Allies app. I can get past the email sign in page, but the next page where you select a user name and agree to the EULA, never works. I fill it out and hit submit, and it endlessly will refresh, never error, and never move on. I have tried lockdown mode, deleting and redownloading. I have tried WiFi and cellular. I've tried it on my iPhone 8 Plus, exactly the same problem. I can play the game in offline mode, but I want to play with my friends and so I need be able to play online games. I'm out my money. What can I do?
