How do I tell how many charges a wand or staff has?

Title says it all

    Normally, it's written under a staff's/wand's icon. B)

Wow, I feel silly. This was evidently a pretty straightforward answer. I thought the number in the corner was how many wands you had in that stack of wands. Kind of embarrassing. I haven’t played computer games in a long time and I’m still figuring everything out.

Thank you very much for the noob rescue.

********** Followup question ********** Can you sell a wand to a vendor and steal it back? I can sell other things and steal them back. In fact this was true for everything but wands. Every time I sell a wand, when I try to steal it back I get caught.

I haven’t tested this on other very expensive items, but does anyone know if there is a rule that says wands can’t be stolen back after they are sold?

AFAIK there are no specific stealing restrictions for (recharged) wands. So, theoretically speaking, U could steal it (in shops where it's possible to steal). However, some wands are recharged to 50 or even 100 charges and become quite expensive. 😉

In Black Pits some wands, automatically recharged to 100, cost more than 100,000 gp. 😹
