Unusual dual-classing for human Companions. Suggestions?

YigorYigor Member Posts: 987
I wanna try some unusual dual-classing for human companions by increasing their stats. It can be done without cheating by accumulating various tomes (possibly in multiple preliminary runs). 😉

Below, I list all possibilities and numbers of necessary stat changes, waiting for your suggestions! Which dual-classsings would be the most interesting (from the roleplaying perspective)? 🤔

Branwen --> Thief (DEX: 16 --> 17, 1 tome)
--> Fighter (STR: 13 --> 17, 4 tomes)
--> Mage (INT: 9 --> 17, 8 tomes)

Dynaheir --> Cleric (WIS: 15 --> 17, 2 tomes)
--> Thief (DEX: 13 --> 17, 4 tomes)
--> Fighter (STR: 11 --> 17, 6 tomes)

Edwin --> Thief (DEX: 10 --> 17, 7 tomes)
--> Cleric (WIS: 9 --> 17, 8 tomes)
--> Fighter (STR: 9 --> 17, 8 tomes)

Faldorn --> Fighter (STR: 12 --> 17, 5 tomes)

Imoen --> Mage (doable)
--> Cleric (WIS: 11 --> 17, 6 tomes)
--> Fighter (STR: 9 --> 17, 8 tomes)

Minsc --> Cleric (WIS: 6 --> 17, 11 tomes)

Safana --> Mage (INT: 16 -->17, 1 tome)
--> Fighter (STR: 13 --> 17, 4 tomes)
--> Cleric (WIS: 9 --> 17, 8 tomes)

Shar-Teel --> Thief (doable)
--> Mage (INT: 14 -->17, 3 tomes)
--> Cleric (WIS: 7 --> 17, 10 tomes)

Skie --> Mage (INT: 15 -->17, 2 tomes)
--> Fighter (STR: 11 --> 17, 6 tomes)
--> Cleric (WIS: 8 --> 17, 9 tomes)

Xzar --> Cleric (WIS: 16 --> 17, 1 tome)
--> Thief (DEX: 16 --> 17, 1 tome)
--> Fighter (STR: 14 --> 17, 3 tomes)

    Wow the transformation of Minsc would require 11 Tomes of Understanding! 🙀

    Well, I will start with Xzar (I never played with this silly necromancer), dual-classing it into Necromancer/Cleric (of level 6/8).

    Additional roleplaying feature: Xzar will use only spells of the Necromancy school. 🧟

    Xzar dualed to cleric is the strongest dualclassed in SOD. Many cleric spells have domain necromancy, so Xzar special7zation makes them more powerfull.

    However, he's not available in SoD. 😜

    What about Dynaheir (Invoker/Cleric)? 🤔

    I'am now playing with Xzar in this campaign: https://forums.beamdog.com/discussion/90796/exotic-runs-gnome-with-halberd 👈

    Current status: level 4, I'm planning to dual-class at level 6. 😎

    You can use NPC EE to change stats if you want to do a "legit" dual class. That or NearInfinity. Keep the tomes for your PC that way.
