Game works, but no baldur.ini

Hi - I have read similar threads, but none of the solutions worked for me. My game works fine, but Baldur.ini is nowhere to be found - I cannot save game, nor I can change and save settings.
There was no folder in [user] created.
I've probably installed the game about 8 times now and losing my patience. I've tried installing through standalone and beamdog launcher on 2 different drives. Twice - to no avail. Tried running as admin, tried everything.
I'm running a Samsung Laptop with AMD A6-3420M with Radeon HD Graph 1.5GHz Win7 64bit.

How can I get any of the installers to create the settings file? Otherwise there are no problems.

    OK - I fixed it. Removing the game, unticking 'read only' in Documents folder properties and installing the game again on my games drive with standalone installer. Sorted!
