Downloaded Hotfix, game still does not run

Attempt number two at posting here, since my email to support@baldursgate.com bounces
I have received no response to my prior post and since email bounces, there is no way for me to email support directly. I have not yet been able to successfully run the game, it immediately crashes on starting. I have two crash report files now, but nowhere to send them.
Asus Eee PC Netbook
Windows 7 Professional, Service Pack 1
Intel Atom CPU N455
2.00 GB RAM
Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 3150
1. I have confirmed that my drivers are up-to-date.
2. I have installed the Beamdog Client
3. I have downloaded BG:EE
4. I have installed Visual C++ Service Pack 1
5. I have installed the hotfix (update 1)
A. I have tried running in Win 95 mode
B. I have tried running as Administrator
C. I have tried adding the recommended text to the .ini file
