BG EE - Black Screen on Startup

Apologies if this has been asked before , but after downloaded succesfully - I click on Play - I get a quick flicker of another screen then the screen goes black with the claw mouse pointer. Then random clicks of the Mouse button seems to activate the splash screen (I can here the lightning in the audio ) But all I still see is a Black screen. This is the same whether full screen or windowed.

Is there something I need to do with my graphics settings??
i'm running Windows XP with an Intel E6850 Dual Core - 3GB Ram and a Radeon HD 6900 Model Video Card.
I've checked the known issues but cant see anything that is close to this Issue.
The old BGII - SOA runs fine.

    Fixed it - all I did was set Anti Aliasing to "use application settings" from the Catalyst Control centre.
