Lots of More side quests

I like to see many more side quests and tasks in this game than in the original one.

Eh? I think BG1 did have a lot of side-quests.

Nothing wrong with asking for more though!

I think the main virtue of BG is that mesh of non-linear sidequests. Later games like IWD were prettier but linear, more boring and to void of sidequests.
Adding much more sidequest would overload the game imho - I know many people who never finished BG1 because they felt overloaded with quests in the city of Baldur's Gate.

I would like to see some additional quests in Gullykin.

I think that there are plenty already, but I also wouldn't mind some new side quests and encounters. I don't really think the game would be overloaded by a few more sidequests. I've played through with several mods installed to add quests and encounters such as unfinished business, quest pack, etc. and the game didn't feel overloaded with them still. Obviously it is possible to overdo it but I don't think a few more could hurt.

@Lunever You really know multiple people that never finished BG1 due to feeling overburdened with side quests in Baldur's Gate? That seems crazy to me, I guess those people just don't like the game enough to be catered to anyway though... And even if you don't want to do the sidequests, you don't have to, such is inherent to what a sidequest is, it isn't necessary to complete the game.

I know that and I told them they don't have to do them all, but to no avail.

I guess we have to be careful here. I guess players like me with+20 playthroughs and others with +100, more quests would be great, but I also agree that the first time I played it was kind of frustrating trying to complete all quests. I know one doesn't HAVE to finish side quests, but you don't want to risk to miss anything fun =).

@Lindeblom You have a good point there I think, entering large cities in RPG's always feels a bit confusing and overwhelming due to the many many side-quests that are thrust upon you wherever you go, I remember feeling this way on many occasions (in several different RPG's), and actually forgetting to enjoy the quests because I was trying too hard to do everything at once and didn't wanna miss anything or make a choice that would shut down another potential quest... but like you say, after playing through a game and learning it in and out, you get bored with the content and wouldn't mind more. So yes, it's a balance act for sure.
