.Ini file isn't where it should be

I can get the game to run on my desktop just fine, but for kicks I wanted to try and run it on my laptop with integrated graphics. I got the usual white screen problem etc, and one of the possible solutions was to edit the baldur.ini file. However, when I searched my computer it could not find it, and there was no Baldurs gate folder in my documents, and therefore no baldur.ini file. Any idea what might be going on or where it might be?

    Nevermind, I got it to work! I ran the Baldur.exe as administrator AND in compatibility mode for Windows XP Service Pack 2. I'm pretty sure the compatibility mode is more important. Also, now that the game runs, the Baldur.ini appeared.
