[Request] Modular structure

Current behaviour:
All games have a separate install with a separate world map. You cannot travel ToSC in SoA INGAME, nor can you travel SoA and ToB ingame, with the excpetion of accessing Watcher's Keep. And you cannot travel between the Sword Coast or Amn and Icewinf Dale.
Also, installing the engine multiple times is a waste of ressources.

Desired behaviour:
When you are about to remake parts of the infinity engine structure anyway - will you allow a modular structure? Like adding a new module and its "world map" (i.e. IWD:EE) as new "areas" to a kind of infinity engine playable forgotten realms atlas? With an OPTION (not a default) to allow characters to travel between them like in some big "Icewind Gate Adventure"? That'd be awesome but also would be a major decision that would have to made very early in developement.

    @Lunever, I don't think they're going to remake the entire structure of the engine. They have "just" optimized the threading model and the renderer so that they perform better with a lot less lines of code.

    Yet the idea of planning a modular structure anticipating a big Icewind Gate EE has a lot of appeal imho.
