Game Will Not Update - Stuck on "Getting Download Info"

When the launcher is started, the game is stuck saying "Getting Download Info" and trying to update. The symbol showing that the launcher has not frozen is still moving as appropriate. I have left this sitting for an hour and have tried restarting the launcher multiple times. System Info as follows:

OS: Win7 64-Bit
CPU: AMD Phenom II
RAM: 16 GB
HDD: >500 GB Available
Sound Card: Creative Sound Blaster Recon3D
Graphics: GeForce GTX 550 Ti

    try changing the download location (if you're using the beamdog client) and let it download the full game again?

    I am using the actual launcher. I have both the client and the launcher, neither are working.

    I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling to a different location and I am still getting this message.
