I tried to email in 15 logs at once, got the same response. Apparently there is no support@baldursgate.com.

i've asked for a refund because this is simply a joke. When the game is relaunched properly later on i might consider it, but until then, money back please. im not paying for an extended beta test.

You can upload zipped dmp's here. If it covers a new bug, it will be definitely forwarded to the developers.
Please describe what you did and what you got as precisely as possible.

There is no need to create 15 dumps for the same problem. I doubt you caught 15 different crash bugs.

    how do you upload?

and im running win 7 64 bit, and am using a nvidia gtx 670. My drivers are up to date, the game is up to date and using the beam dog launcher.

Tried every option in the compatibility mode, and still it crashes.

    I get the error message

"there was an error - a crash report was saved. Please email support@baldursgate.com"

I'm with OP, decided to throw in the towel today and request a refund. Does anyone know where to e-mail for that?

    1. locate the crash dump (the file location is written on the popup window)
    2. zip the crash dump
    3. Start a new note in this topic and click on the 'Attach a file' in the bottom left corner below your edit window.

What do you mean by "start a new note"? This is what my edit window looks like.

Well, then could you please upload it to a public file server?

@Avenger_teambg I don't think forum members have the option to upload files. Neither can they download from an attachment here.

Yeah. I realized. But apparently they cannot simply mail to support@baldursgate.com

You can also email your dmp files here: beamdmp@gmail.com
  • InkeytheRPGInkeytheRPG Member Posts: 23
    Ok, beamdmp@gmail.com it is then.

@Aosaw created that to coordinate more places for people to email dump files. If possible, include some of your system specs and a brief description of the problem. If not, just the dmp will work.

Have you tried checking your windows event log to see if there is more detailed info on the crash? That has helped me in the past to identify exactly what module caused the actual crash.

@karrick I don't know what any of that means, but Cameron might. I'm forwarding it on to him.

And yes, please, any crash dump files send to my beamdmp@gmail.com account. Feel free to vent you frustrations there as well, although if you have information about what you were doing when the game crashed (or your system specs) as well, that will be more helpful.

    any news?

None yet; I dumped about forty dmp files on him yesterday, so he's probably still going through the emails. I've sent a follow-up, though. I'll let you know if I hear anything.
