How to complete Kagain`s Quest

I went with Kagain in north of Beregost, he said something about he`s tired to looking the kid and the quest is in my journal yet, this is a bug or i have to do something more?

    I think his quest has always been unfinished. He says that when you're close to the butchered caravan in the area north of Beregost. It's kinda understandable though because when he joins the party he tells you that if you guys can't find it the guy who hired him will give him some harsh consequences.

    However if you never go there I think he might leave because you're not taking his problem seriously.
