Bug with Archer skill points

Hi,

I remember from BG 2 that the Archer class can have 5 skill points in ranged weapon classes (the downside to the class being you can only have one in melee).

But when I'm allocating my initial skill points the game is only letting me give 2 to Long Bow, after that saying that I can't increase this specialism any further. Same with the other ranged weapons.

Is this a bug? Or is it simply that I can only give two points at level 1, and the others have to follow in later levels? Please advise.

Yes, at level 1 nobody is allowed to put more than 2 points into any weapon skill or fighting style.

Fighters can't allocate more than 2* at level 1 for one weapon type. rule should apply for archers too. (So, not an issue)

Oh, I do apologise, I had suspected this case but wanted to be sure. Good stuff!

EDIT: I take it only mods can move threads to the Not an Issue section?
