Help! Game failed to run!

I downloaded it successfully and double clicked the icon, the game just does not run at all!
My system is Windows 7, and I've installed Baldur's Gate 2 on this laptop before, will that effect?

    Are you fucking serious ?!?!? I just downloaded the BGEEinstaller.exe ran it installed it .. Now I go to run the BGEE.exe and NOTHING HAPPENS. No error no dump file NOTHING. cant get any help on this. money down the drain. Pirate this software..

    I have the same problem, with both BG:EE (note that I didn't have this problem before the latest update) and BG2:EE.

    I have no idea what Sylvus_Moonbow is suggesting to do, so I can't tell if it might help or not.

    I have Windows 7.

    I've done what you suggested, and now it goes like this:

    "Baldur.exe - system error

    Impossible to run the program because OpenAL32.dll is not present in the computer. To solve the problem, try reinstalling the program."

    Soo... progress, I guess. :)
