no more map coordinates?

pressing "L" while on map in BG1 would give show the exact coordinates (x/y). For exemple a ring of wizardry could be found at coordinates x=2552, y=3760 in front of Friendly Arm Inn.
2 questions: can we still get exact coordinates on the map in BG:EE? and did anyone find this ring of wizardry or the ring of protection +1 that could supposedly be found on the map to the south?
