Anybody freezing instead of crashing?

I'm just wondering if anybody is Freezing like I am, instead of crashing

Crashing = Game crashes to desktop
Freezing = Game freezes, Ctrl Alt Del and Alt Tab don't work, Manual reboot is forced.

Processor Intel(R) Pentium(R) D CPU 3.00GHz (2 CPUs)
Memory 3070MB RAM
Hard Drive 154 GB
Video Card RADEON X600 256MB HyperMemory

EDIT DEC 6th - Turns out my Drivers weren't up to date. Do not trust Dell site or your PC model, go to the specific video card companys website.
