Hi. I have a windows xp laptop with nvidia gforce ge go 7600 graphics card. I have followed all the steps suggested by beamdog (update windows, 2008 patch, udated nvidia drivers and still garbled text overlaying the male/female systems, then crash at choosing one.

I would like to try step number 5 (below), but it does not say HOW I can "manually force the video settings to use the nVidia chipset rather than the Intel chipset when loading the game"... assuming that is indeed the problem. pls advise how to do step 5 below.

5 - Resolve Intel Switchable Graphics or "Hybrid Graphics" Issues

Many laptops are equipped with both a high-end video chipset from nVidia or AMD in addition to a low-power Intel video chipset. While it should automatically select the appropriate video chipset when running an application, it sometimes does not and tries to run Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition with the Intel graphics chipset, which cannot properly run the game.

To resolve this, you will need to manually force the video settings to use the nVidia or AMD chipset rather than the Intel chipset when loading the game.

Thanks for the help!
