Lagging and freezing when interacting with storekeepers

I'm having problems when interacting with vendors - as I try to navigate the two lists of items, my game will repeatedly freeze and lag during scrolling/clicking down arrows.

What happens:

Freezing/lagging during vendor interactions.

What should happen:

Nothing

    This is also occurring during inventory management.

    E: In fact it is during any window management, incl the options screens etc.

    Bump, this is awful. Any ideas how I can fix?

    Is this the iPad or PC version?
