BG:EE (Multiplayer) Silke and Garrick Quest broken, Garrick has nothing to say, no reward

Hi,
We played BG:EE in multiplayer.

Current behavior: We killed Silke after we thought she is the evil, not the others. After the kill nothing happened. We only could loot Silke's body, but Garrick and the three others said nothing about what happened, what now, no reward or anything.

Expected behavior: You can talk with the three other guys, receive a "Thanks." or a reward or something. Garrick returns to normal conversation. The three guys walk away.

    I don't know if this can help, but, in my multiplayer game, I've sided with Silke. Upon the death of the three other guys, Garick was pissed at me and fled the scene. I've been able to receive my reward with Silke before killing her.

    I know I didnt used the same solution as you, but this might give some insight to whomever read these forum to fix bugs...

    I think there was a dialogue back then, even a reward or something. You could hire Garrick too.

    Garrick just stands there, he says: Garrick has nothing to say to you. The 3 guys just standing there since days, it met them there, they say: "Take this for a token of my gratitude" or something like that, but they give us nothing,and they say it again and again.

    it is a bug :( garrick should be able to join you afterwards heh

    Yes, and the 3 guys should give me a reward, and then go away. They still stay there, if you are speaking to them, they say that here is a reward for you, but we receive nothing.

    Can anyone tell me what happened here exactly in the vanilla? This could help the devs. to fix this story and NPC bug.

    I checked this with Singleplayer yesterday, and it is working. This bug is for Multiplayer "only".

    If you can, please try it in multiplayer again.
    I think this is a random bug, where a "kill was not registered"
    Just a guess, i will have to check this later.

    Could you please give me the correct Console Codes to solve this? I don't like the 3 guys and the muted Garrick in my copy of Beregost. Thanks. :)

    It was ok during my play in multiplayer, we:
    killed silke, talked to those 3 guys, received gems, talked to Garrick, and he joined everything just fine, maybe you should upload your savegame if it is possible to reproduct this bug only in specific, made by you, circumstances

    Edit Maybe I wasn't clear enough: the more info you add the faster devs will understand what exactly happened in your case,
    just like you said about speaking with them by player#2

    Thanks for this "made by you" thing, I don't think so. We did everything as we should do. Please check the scripts, there must be something. Possible that they only answer to CHARNAME, and I have spoken to them first as Player#2, or dunno. I don't like the idea of a "random bug: kill was not registered". It can happen many times? Is it from BG:1 or from BG:EE? Thanks for checking it later.

    @Balquo: Could you please help me what to write in the Console to get this right until it will be fixed? I wish I could check Garrick, get the reward, and let the 3 guys go away from Beregost if try this game again at the weekend. Thank You!

    This has happened to me in the vanilla game, definitely a reminder that it is always worth saving, often.

    Yep, but if you don't know if it's a "random bug" or it's a normal bug, you don't load it again. Is it happening only to me? What is this random bug mentioned above? Thanks.

    This is an one shotting bug, not an MP bug. Happens, when Silke dies in the same round as you attacked.

    I think it is: SetGlobal("silkefightover","global",1)
    Please tell me if it solved the problem for you. If it did, then my fix will work as well.

    Also, you could try this: GetGlobal("sprite_is_deadsilke","global")
    Hopefully it is 1. Otherwise all is moot :D

    It happened something like this in BG2, I killed a Troll with Cloudkill, went near him and gave him a hit with Liriacor, he died again. Also, TorGal seems to die with Cloudkill INSTANTLY, making him a very easy boss, like Aec'Lecet, but without MR :D (this means CHEESE!!).
    This was a display of my studies of threadcromancy.
