Mage/thief weapon specialization?

Character creation screen in game says Mage/thief can specialize in any weapon they can use but not master - is this correct?

I thought they could only put a single point per weapon???

    It's a typo. Or more likely a copy-paste-fail. Anyway, I just checked it: You can only put one point in any weapon of style as a Mage/Thief. And that's true for character creation and level ups.

    Only way to get specialization in there would be a Swashbuckler/Mage Dualclass.
