Ringing steel sound mod

Okay one more mod question. Is there a mod that replaces the swoosh-when-you-miss sound with something cooler, like the sound of swords clanging or something similar?

    If I wanted to do something like that, would it be as simple as swapping out .wav files or would it be more complicated?

    Yes, kind of. You could simply replace the sound file.
    The problem I see is, the miss sound is probably (haven't checked) universal and not target dependent. That means you would also hear sword clanging when missing a hit on a chicken... not sure that makes much sense.
