New NWN:EE multiplayer guides released

Two new guides for NWN:EE multiplayer have been released by Neverwinter Connections.

NWC Multiplayer Joining and Hosting Guide - this is a step-by-step, illustrated explanation of how to use NWN:EE in multiplayer (MP) mode. It walks through the process of both joining Internet games and hosting a game on your own computer. No prior experience necessary.

The NWC Quick and Dirty MP Roleplay Reference is designed to help orient those new to the multiplayer interface, as well as providing a common (optional) reference point for in-game behavior.

Between the two of them, people should now have an easily accessible way to get all the info required to start both playing and hosting MP games.

The Old School NWC Roleplay and DM guides by Gruush and Lazybones are also now up (with their permission) on NWC's multiplayer resource page, along with a number of other community links.

Community feedback, suggestions, and errata for the guides are welcomed.

    The Multiplayer Connection and Hosting Guide has now been updated to version 1.1, including:

    -- Additional examples of how to launch the DM client across different NWN:EE program installs
    -- A section on the most important [Server Vault] options for nwnplayer.ini
    -- Minor formatting updates

    With more people expressing interest in creating their own campaigns using NWN:EE, NWC has now published a new guide to the process - Creating and Running a Neverwinter Nights Campaign. It walks through how to approach creating a campaign and also offers methods of customizing and using pre-built campaigns as a DM. It then goes into what is necessary to organize, prepare and run successful campaign sessions over the long term. Finally, it links many valuable resources for campaign builders and DMs throughout.

    The Neverwinter Connections Multiplayer Connection and Hosting Guide (v2 for PC) has just been updated, adding info on the settings changes from Patch 1.79. The content has also been streamlined and reformatted a bit to make it even more new player friendly.

    The NWC Multiplayer Joining and Hosting Guide has now been updated to v3 for PC, to reflect GUI and other changes since the last edition. Page link is same as above.
