Importing to BGII:EE from BG:EE on a Mac

It's always an ordeal trying to make this work. I've moved the Final Save folder from BG:EE to BGII:EE 's Saves, but when I try to start a new game there is neither an imported saved game nor a character file. Thoughts?

    Solved. For anyone who might encounter a similar problem, in this case my BGII:EE folder was not placed in Documents along with my BG:EE folder. There appeared to be one there but it was only a pointer to the folder in my Library. I copied the one from the Library and replaced the pointer in Documents with it. Seems to have done the trick.
