New Player

Hello,
I played NWN back in the day and completed with a Warrior, but I wanna try a new character, are there character guides? If so where? Also what is the order I should play the Mods? Thanks for all the help

You'll probably find it useful to start with the tutorial in the original campaign (which is different for each of the major classes).

Both the original campaign and SoU start with a first-level character. SoU is arguably better, so after the tutorial you might do that next, followed by HotU, which is designed as a sequal to SoU and matches the level at which you finish there. Or, do the original first, then create a new first-level character for SoU.

Or, just dive into the better fan-made modules, many of which are a great place to start, too. It should be clear from the module description whether it is for first-level (beginner) or some higher level.

I like to do the OC, and then import that character into SoU, and follow up into HotU.

You might want to try that too.

True, SoU is designed for 1st level characters, so starting that with a higher level character provides an easier beginning to that campaign, but because you gain comparatively little XP fighting low level monsters with a higher character this tends to level out sooner than you would perhaps expect.

On the whole, I tend to think that you get more of an epic character feel when playing with a slightly stronger main character, especially once you reach HotU.

And I always seem to think it a shame/waste to retire my character after the OC.
