Is Horrid Wilting not working against some monsters?

I've used Abi-Dalzim's Horrid Wilting to Drowned dead, the undead monster at the Burial Isle.

However, log says it's uneffective.

What's the reason? Is Horrid Wilting doesn't works against Undead monsters?

Are there any other monsters not affected by Horrid Wilting?

I didn't know that, but if we think about it it makes total sense, doesn't it?
Horrid wilting is spell that dehidrates an opponent to the point of death , so it has to be some creature that can die from dehidration . Asfor your 2nd question , I don't know, sorry.

The weird thing though is that in the BG games, Horrid Wilting DOES work on undead (or at least, it works on the vampires in BG2).

That actually makes sense as blood consists of water also. Having it evaporate would be detrimental to a vampire

IWD generally did a way better effort at balancing spells / making them work logically.

beamdog likely didn't alter any BGee behavior to prevent outcrys.
