Original portrait files for Neera?

ensbanaensbana Member Posts: 80
Can anyone upload the three original portrait files for Neera? One of my mods installed a new portrait pack. All of the characters’ portraits look quite good, except Neera’s. I still prefer the original ones.

On a related issue, what if I want to change the appearance of my character in the game? (and what’s the word for that any way?) Is that possible?

@ensbana You don't need the original portrait files for Neera; you should be able to simply delete whatever the mod added to your override folder.

Per https://baldursgate.fandom.com/wiki/Portrait_File_Names the files you want are NEERAS.bmp NEERAM.bmp NEERAL.bmp

Just find and delete these files in your override folder. You should then have the original portrait back.

Do you mean the appearance of your character's avatar (also known as a sprite)? If so you can change it using the Avatar Morphing Script in the Tweaks Anthology. I haven't used it for a while but I think it enables you to change the gender, class and possibly the race of your character (so long as you don't want to switch to or from a Monk - they use different animations). It only changes your character's appearance. It has no effect on your actual characteristics.

An alternative way to change the character sprite without adding any scripts to the game:

    You can use EE Keeper.
    https://eekeeper.sourceforge.io/

Extract to your BG1 or BG2 folder, run it and add the appropriate directory structures as needed, then just load your save and edit your protagonist's appearance. It's super simple. You can change the sprite to absolutely anything you want (including creature sprites, like e.g. a ghast or a zombie). Save and you're good to go.

If it's just colors you want, you can customize this easily enough in-game in the "character record" screen (assuming that's not what you were asking though).

Thanks for everyone’s comments. I sorted it all out. I just got Neera’s portrait files online and rescaled them to the correct size. As for the appearance of my character, I used EEKeeper :).
