Mairyn won't spawn, I'm at my wit's end!

in Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition
I'm running vanilla and my Android and absolutely cannot continue with the ranger quests. Can anyone help?

    I eventually found her near Valygar's cabin. I've heard rumours about a timer needing to wind down first. Good luck finding her - such a pain!

    Just tried it again, quick saved before talking with the Major then left straight away to the Watcher's Keep, waited 10 secs, then returned to the Umar Hills. Mairyn was waiting for me and spoke as soon as the area loaded. Hopefully this works for you!
