Problems with new user account

recently made a new user (seems my old one was purged since I hadn't used it for years).
I'm logged in and I can make posts (as this post clearly indicates) but the site keeps telling me to confirm my email. Nothing is send though when I click the button.
Secondly, after I created my account I have issues accessing some sites that I can access fine without being logged in. I get the error message: "Permission Problem - you don't have access to do that". If I log out and refresh that site, I can read it fine.
Thirdly, can it be true that I need a beamdog account AND a beamdog forum account? as I can't log on to the forum with my (new) beamdog account made on the non-forum page.

Yes, you need a beamdog account AND a beamdog forum account.
You can send me a Private Message so that would look for your old account on the forum.
No need to bother with the old account.. I mostly used it to stalk the forum
