Icewind Dale Internet Connection Error on Android 10

When running Icewind Dale on Android 10 I get a black screen with the following error: "This application must connect to the internet when running for the first time. Please check your internet connection and try again."

I have verified that the internet connection is working, so I'm not sure how to resolve this issue. Has anyone else run into this error?
