Can Mac players and PC players play together currently?

When the Enhanced Editions launched, Mac and PC cross-play worked perfectly. Some point along the way, the updates stopped matching up, and cross-play was not possible unless you manually changed your versions. I had a problem with this a year or so ago, and wanted to check in on this subject.

Is the current patch (2.5?) on both Mac and PC?
Can Mac and PC players currently play together?

    Well I'm answering my own question for anyone who may want to know - you current can play cross-platform with Mac and PC.
