Uninstalling mods and a clean install

beef_razorbeef_razor Member Posts: 1
So... I made a stupid mistake. I installed a bunch of mods (around 30) and accidentally installed one of them (that happens to be a dialogue mod) in Russian. So all the text characters in the dialogue box for these talks have little boxes, since I'm playing my game in English. Unfortunately it was before SCS and Anthology Tweaks and a couple other things in the install order. I tried re-installing, but then when Weidu was do this it didn't correctly install some of the other mods in the order. I'm gonna need to do a complete re-install of the mods and want to know the best way to do this without having to re-download the game from the Beamdog client. I read somewhere you could just verify your game and it would wipe mods or something? Thanks.

That also happened to me accidentally; I tend to click on the first entry there during installation, which is usually english, but in one mod the primary language was Russian, then English. For me, whenever I used weidu, it insisted on re-installing all mods, which then messed up everything, so I stopped doing that. I am still surprised that people find weidu good - I consider weidu hugely problematic (just the fact that ocaml and perl is used, indicates that it may not be the most recent software out there...).

There may be a few helper tools out there; I think Argent77 has a few on his github page: https://github.com/Argent77

Personally I just tended to do a new, fresh install. That is more work but also works. (I keep track of URLs to downloadable mods in a local text file, which makes it easier to re-download things from scratch, too.)

I also remember some add-on manager, a GUI, although I forgot the name (it was a bit complex to use).

Anyone knowing a batch-installation way, ideally without weidu? Also for e. g. things such as the ~50 options for the tweaks mod.
