Record Screen Bug

in Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition
I've recently started a game of BG2 and have encountered a fairly problematic bug I've not seen before. I am often unable to select characters other than the PC in the record screen. This only applies to the record screen - I can select them to give orders and use their inventories, spellbooks, etc. but when I try to select them in the record screen (or select them then open the record screen) it just goes to the PC's record instead. Quitting the game and restarting appears to fix this but it quickly recurs; loading a save without quitting does not help.

This doesn't necessarily apply to all party members at once - I may be able to select Jaheira but not Minsc (or vice-versa) at times - but once it affects a party member I haven't seen the issue go away without quitting and re-opening the game. I have no idea what is triggering it on a given companion.

I have tweaks and SCS installed as well as a couple of NPC and quest mods. I also imported the save from BG1/SoD, in the unlikely event that it makes a difference. Has anyone dealt with this before or have an idea what might be causing this?

    Bump - I'm having the same issue but on BG1EE. SCS, PPE, Dragonspear UI+ and NPC Project are the mods I'm using.

    You're using a custom UI no longer maintained. Did you try on an unmodded game?

    I'm also having this issue (on BGEE), and I am NOT using Dragonspear UI+. I am using SCS and some NPC mods, though. I assume using the same mods and importing my save for BG2EE will present the same issue.

    Hey, sorry for necro but i have the same issue.
    Did anyone find a solution for this ?

    I'm using SCS, Tweaks anthology, DLCmerger, Artisan Kitpack, Bardic Wonders, BG mini quests and encounters, EEex, Arcane Treasury and BG1 Npc Project. No UI mods at all.

    EDIT : bug is happening on BG1 not BG2 but i guess it makes no difference...

    EDIT2 : managed to fix it somehow, did a complete reinstall and put SCS last this time. Difficult to know what exactly caused it though
