[MOD] Forgotten Armament

Introduction
Forgotten Armament aims to bring many low to mid-tier magical weapons, armors, and items into the games of Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition, Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition, and the Enhanced Edition Trilogy (EET). The focus is to bring competitive mid-tier items, inspired by IWD and NWN2, into the game. One aspect of this mod is to ensure all weapons, armor, and items are equally represented and have steady progression paths for players throughout the series. Additionally throughout the games, many a mid-level enemy is poorly equipped with either non-magical or generically magical (+1 non-named) weapons and armor while similarly leveled players have +2/+3 weapons and gear. Forgotten Armament will provide many of these enemies with unique +1/+2/+3 weapons and gear providing for improved encounters with properly equipped foes.

Through time, this has also branched into a more of an all-encompassing item mod for me. With this, I update all items to fall more in-line with their NWN2 versions (3.5 edition) and move away from the traditional Baldur's Gate style of setting an ability score to "x" amount and instead incrementing.

    Forgotten Armament official release for version 4.5 which brings the following enhancements:
    • Updated Nameless Light +2 to align with NWN2 version.
    • Corrected bug with Knave's Robe change where cast on hit wasn't working properly.
    • Added a number of 2h Great Axes to BGEE and BG2EE.

    Forgotten Armament official release for version 4.5.1 which brings the following enhancements:
    • Created install order groups to assist in which components go before and after Tactics Remix.

    Hi morpheus,

    Could be a typo, shouldn't it say "Strenght Modification" on The World's Edge proc?

    Hi Morpheus, B4SICAL here, just a heads up, there's a typo on the replace speed boots scripts.

    Boots of Hardiness +2 Replaces in BGEE and BG2EE is placing MOBT04 on everyone instead of MOBT05.

    Forgotten Armament official release for version 4.6 which brings the following enhancements:
    • Updated Belt of the Skillful Blade in the update existing items component.
    • Updated Naught Katana to a +6 weapon to align with it's NWN 2 description.
    • Fixed incorrect string for The World's Edge.
    • Fixed bug with Boots of Hardiness +1 were be assigned instead of the +2 variant.
    • Fixed warning when installed with EE Fixpack.

    In a future update would you be inclined to add the option 'Ask about each one' during the installation of these components for more flexibility between mods?

    No because it is already broken up into groups: before/after SCS and Tactics. You already have the option to install each of those components separately.

    I already put effort into ensuring it would install with existing item mods, so I'm not sure what compatibility issues you're seeing?

    I did not say compatibility issues.
    There are other tweaks mods out there that might change the same items, but some players might prefer one over the other, that is why I asked.

    I would say choose one or the other depending on what changes the other mods are doing.

    • New component to add Potions of Acid Resistance to the game.

    If one doesn't use Tactics Remix, would you consider adding the Items it offers to this Mod to make them available for users? Or does Forgotten Armaments allready do that?

    No, many of the items found in Tactics Remix are and will remain exclusive to Tactics Remix.

    @morpheus562, I've got a strange issue on my latest EET setup, where all kinds of Elvenchain prevent casting, what they obviously shouldn't. Changelog on chan12.itm shows me, that FAs "update existing items" did something on them, besides other mods. Could there be some unwanted changes occurring with the 4.7 Update?

    I give elven chain universal saving throw bonuses. I'm guessing it is likely Bardic Wonders which is adjusting armor casting that may be causing the issue.

    That‘s what I thought too, but leaving the component of BW out didn‘t change anything.

    Then one of the other mods maybe.

    Dear Morpheus,

    Mod made. mod installed.
    Just one question, Greywolf no longer has Varscona, but one of the mods weapons. Has Varscona been replaced or moved?
